$50,000 in Scholarships for Andigo and Consumers Credit Union members
Consumers Cooperative Association (CCA), sponsor for Consumers Credit Union (CCU), is excited to announce they will award $50,000 in scholarships to college-bound high school seniors. The scholarships will be awarded to twenty high school seniors, each of whom will receive a $2,000 scholarship. In addition, one graduating senior will receive the $10,000 Bill Reidel Honorary Scholarship. The scholarship program assists CCU and Andigo Credit Union members who plan to continue their education and attend an accredited 2+ year college, university, or trade school of the student’s choice for the 2021-2022 academic year.
This year’s applicants will be evaluated in the following categories: academic performance, financial need, leadership abilities and community involvement. Applicants on pace to graduate from high school by spring of 2021 are eligible to apply, provided the applicant and/or their parent/guardian has been a member of CCU or Andigo Credit Union for a minimum of one year. Those awarded scholarships will be recognized at the credit union’s Annual Meeting in 2021.
Applications are available at myconsumers.org/cca. They must include a transcript through the student’s junior year and a copy of first semester grades from the current academic year if available; otherwise, applicants should include their senior class schedule. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. CT.
